British Soprano Anna Fitzgerald is currently studying a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama under the tutelage of Anne Mason. Anna is due to sing Tatyana (Eugene Onegin) in February 2022 with Bath Opera. Anna is also a young artist with the London-based Opera Group Insieme, most recently having performed in their Christmas Concert in role excerpts such as Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) and Lakmé. Anna has performed for RWCMD opera scenes as The Governess (Turn of the Screw), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) and Marzelline (Fidelio).
Before moving to Wales, Anna attended Morley Opera School (2018-19), where she performed in opera scenes in roles such as Marguerite (Faust), Controller (Flight), Adina (L’elisir d’amore), Madame Herz (Der Schauspieldirektor) and La Fée (Cendrillon).
Anna graduated from her Bachelor of Arts degree with First Class Honours in Italian and Spanish at the University of Bristol, and she passionately integrates linguistic knowledge into her performance and artistic interpretation. Anna was actively involved in music at university singing roles such as First Lady (Die Zauberflöte) and Galatea (Acis and Galatea). Anna also found a passion for oratorio and concert in Bristol, singing as a soloist with the Bristol Chamber Choir in Mozart’s Mass in C Minor and Mozart’s Requiem, and with Clevedon Choral Society in Handel’s Messiah.
